The coloring you see on our statues is not paint, but instead is a patina which is the result of a chemical reaction. Different chemicals react with the bronze to achieve different colors. We specialize in creating traditional patinas of brown, burgundy and green but can create custom colors for you as well.
Bronze statues require little maintenance when placed outdoors and will oxidize naturally from the earths’ elements. We recommend cleaning your bronze statue regularly with mild soap and waxing your statue annually with a clear coat of wax to protect the metal.
We recommend permanently installing your bronze statue into place by bolting it down to prevent theft or accidents. This can be done by drilling holes directly into the statue with a high torque drill to fit 3/8″ or larger bolts. Another method of installation is to set the base of the bronze statue directly into a curing cement base and allowing it to dry.
