Bronzeman created this custom life-size bronze statue of Greg Goodyear for Culver City High School in 2026. Greg Goodyear was deeply involved in Culver City High School football, both as a player and later as a coach and mentor. He was a standout Culver City quarterback in the late 1960s, throwing for 3,323 yards during his three-year varsity career. He later returned to Culver City High School as a football coach and became one of the most influential people around the program. His greatest contribution was helping Culver City players get to college. He had extensive relationships with college coaches and worked to get players scholarships and opportunities to continue playing football. He was the son of Del Goodyear, the longtime Culver City High School coach and athletic director.
Greg wasn’t simply a coach at Culver City High School, he was a former Centaur quarterback who devoted much of his adult life to giving back to the same football project.
