Custom Bronze Horse Statue “Black Beauty”
Bronzeman® was privileged to create this heartfelt monument for Elisa Nelson Elementary School in Palm Harbor, FL.
10 year old Elisa Nelson was riding her bike to school in 1980 when she was kidnapped and murdered. She was a kind, generous young girl who loved to teach neighborhood kids how to read. Shortly before she died, Elisa wrote a school paper entitled, “If I had three wishes,” where she wished for a horse that she would call Black Beauty, the name of her favorite book. She finally got her wish with this bronze horse statue that will be the centerpiece in the courtyard of the elementary school named after her.
A charitable fund was created in her honor called “Elisa’s Greatest Wishes” to carry on her legacy.
