Cleaning and Maintaining Bronze Statues

Use only warm water, mild soap detergent (such as Ivory dish soap) and a soft, nylon bristle brush or sponge to clean your bronze statue. Never use any cleaners with chemical solvents as this will remove the patina (finish) from the bronze statue.
After cleaning the bronze statue, we recommend waxing it once or twice a year with 100% carnauba wax (such as Johnson’s Paste Wax) to protect the bronze from rain and ultraviolet rays. This will give the bronze statue a nice luster and also minimize water spotting. You can find this at most hardware stores or online. Apply a coat of wax to the entire bronze statue and simply wipe off the excess wax with a clean, soft rag.
